Does mBot2 work with Android tablets & iPads? Any app issues? Yes, it works well on both platforms with no major app issues.
Can children code and operate it offline without Wi-Fi? Yes, standard coding works completely offline via Bluetooth. Only AI and IoT features require an internet connection.
How does the tablet connect to the robot? Via Bluetooth.
Can programs be uploaded and run independently? Yes, programs upload to the robot's onboard controller so it can run autonomously.
What coding progression is available for different ages? Children can start with block-based coding (Scratch) and progress to text-based Python on the same platform.
Are ready-made lesson plans/curriculum included? No, there are no comprehensive lesson plans included.
How durable is mBot2 for intensive camp use? The metal chassis is sturdy, though drops from desks can bend it. Exposed wires can be pulled loose or damaged, but they are cheap and easy to swap.
